One-to-one support

Sometimes what helps most is time that is just for you. At Penny Brohn Cancer Care UK, our free one-to-one consultations give you space to talk through what you are facing with a trusted, experienced practitioner, and to get advice that is personal to you.

Counselling

Cancer stirs up difficult feelings, for the person diagnosed and for the people around them. Our counsellors offer a safe, confidential space to say how it really is, and to find ways to cope and feel more yourself again.

Nutritional therapy

Food can feel complicated with cancer. Our nutritional therapists help you cut through the noise with practical, evidence-based advice that fits your treatment, your appetite and your everyday life.

Exercise and other therapies

Our exercise specialists help you find safe, achievable ways to move, before, during and after treatment. We also offer scar therapy and personal planning sessions to help you take stock and decide what support you need next.

How it works

Consultations are free and open to any adult in the UK affected by cancer. Most appointments happen by phone or on Zoom, with some available in person at the Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre near Bristol. Register once, then book the consultation that suits you; our support team can help at every step.

[VERIFY: current delivery mix (phone, Zoom, in person) and any waiting times guidance. Do not imply booking happens on the website; it hands off to the Xview booking system.]

Every consultation is free, and we want it to stay that way. If you are able to give, a voluntary contribution helps hold the door open for the next person. If not, please just book; you are why we are here.

[Short variant of the semi-universal contribution block; keep wording consistent with Online support.]

Other organisations that can help

We are not the right fit for everything, and we would rather you found the right help than struggled on. Alongside our own services, we work with trusted partners, including GenesisCare, and we keep a list of recommended organisations on Self-help resources.
