Why your gift matters

When Penny Brohn co-founded this charity in 1980, her vision was clear: no one should miss out on this kind of support because of their income or ability to give. More than 45 years later, that vision still shapes everything we do. Our supporters make it possible for every group session, one-to-one consultation, Cancer Support Day and residential retreat to remain free for the people who use them.

Support for the whole person

Cancer care should never stop at treating the disease. Alongside hospital treatment, people need help with the things treatment cannot reach: fatigue, fear, appetite, sleep and the question of how to keep living well. Penny Brohn Cancer Care UK pioneered whole-person support in this country, and we remain leaders in the field. No other charity offers the same breadth and depth of support, delivered by trusted, experienced and highly skilled practitioners.

Pay it forward

If we’ve supported you or someone close to you, giving can be a way of saying thank you. Many of the people we support tell us the same thing: they’d love the next person to find what they found. A gift today means that when someone else reaches out to us, the same door is open, at no cost to them.

A single gift helps us be there today. A monthly gift helps us plan with confidence, so support is there not just this year but for years to come. Whichever you choose, your donation goes where it’s needed most, keeping our services free for everyone who needs them.

Make your donation go 25% further, at no extra cost to you. If you’re a UK taxpayer, add Gift Aid when you donate and HMRC will add an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It takes just seconds and helps your donation do even more for people affected by cancer. You must have paid at least as much Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year as the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations.
