Some places do you good just by being in them. The Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre is based at Ham Green House and Gardens, a Grade II listed house on the outskirts of Bristol, and it has been home to Penny Brohn Cancer Care UK since 2007.
Inside the house
Sit quietly in the Sanctuary, have a cup of tea in the Dining Room, or settle into the Sitting Room at our centre. Sessions, Cancer Support Days, and retreats and residentials happen here too, which you can read more about here. The Centre is open to anyone affected by cancer, Monday to Friday.
The gardens
Our gardens are a big part of what we do at Penny Brohn Cancer Care UK, giving anyone affected by cancer the chance to explore nature, to find peace, quiet and a place to relax despite the stress and anxiety you may be experiencing. Walking through our wildflower meadow in the sun or sitting in the shade of our unique ginkgo tree enjoying a gentle breeze, we hope you’ll find a place of beauty, tranquillity and inspiration.
Stay for lunch
Our Dining Room serves lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Lunch needs to be booked by 12 noon the day before your visit, so our kitchen team can prepare enough meals for everyone, including people affected by cancer, other Centre guests and members of the public.
