Our centre and gardens

Some places do you good just by being in them. The Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre is based at Ham Green House and Gardens, a Grade II listed house on the outskirts of Bristol, and it has been home to Penny Brohn Cancer Care UK since 2007.

[Media note: Sophie is sending the professional photography of the Centre; confirm which shots are cleared before build.]

Inside the house

Inside, the house is set up for taking your time. Sit quietly in the Sanctuary, have a cup of tea in the Dining Room, or settle into the Sitting Room with a book. Sessions and consultations happen here too, but you do not need to be booked into anything to visit; the Centre is open to anyone affected by cancer, Monday to Friday.

The gardens

The gardens are part of the support. People walk them before a difficult conversation and after good news; they are somewhere to breathe, notice the seasons and reconnect with the things that steady you, mind, body, spirit and emotions.

[Keep this section grounded in the cleared photography; add specific garden features only once confirmed (do not invent views, planting or landmarks).]

Stay for lunch

Our Dining Room serves lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and booking ahead is recommended.

[Decision needed (Sophie): is this page where lunches are booked? She asks for a better booking form (currently Stripe) and suggests a non-updating sample menu, since the monthly menus change late and differ on the day. Recommendation: one evergreen sample menu plus a booking link; no monthly menu uploads. Draft the section fully once decided.]

How to find us

Ham Green House, Chapel Pill Lane, Pill, Bristol, BS20 0HH. There is plenty of free parking on site; use the postcode for satnav and What3Words marked.curve.penny. By bus, take the X4 to Pill, get off at The Anchor, and follow the signposted ten-minute walk.

[Component: map. Directions are a must-include per Sophie; audience includes people in Bristol and the surrounding areas.]

Planning to join a session or a support day? In-person support explains what happens here and how to book.

Ham Green House and Gardens is also a venue in its own right, with its own website for events, room hire and hospitality.

[One bridging line only; venue-hire content lives on the separate Ham Green House site and the Ham Green House page (28). Do not duplicate.]
